223 ammo

How about 5.56 bulk? I don't want Norinco and I don't mind paying a bit more as long as they are brass cased and non bi-metal bullet.

Most bullets are bi-metal. Are you looking for copper only a la Barnes TSX?

Think he means bi-metal bullet jacket as in copper steel alloy jacketing over lead core. The bi-metal jacketing is really hard on your barrel, a la 8000 round life instead of 30000 rounds.
There have been too many stories of Norinco having bi-metal (maybe only earlier lots) and undersized projectiles for me to run it in my rifles. I would rather pay a little more and get ammo that is consistent. I don't buy bulk for accuracy but I do expect to get reasonable groups out of it.
YMMV

Which 5.56 ammos that you use then that it is not hard on a barrel?

Thanks!

No issues yet with norinco ammo that I bought from Canada Ammo in the spam can. No misfires, etc. At $.25 each that was $.03 cheaper tahn I could reload with the cheapest powder I could find. And if my barrel burns out a few thousand rouns before another, it gives me another reason to buy more stuff and tinker some more!

Emmm have you read the posts these past few days about the Norinco ammo? Looks pretty damn frigging bad to me! Holy canolli, I sure hope you're not going to shoot that stuff in a 2500$ rifle
