Tonight I remembered I had bought a box of 55gr SPSX bullets to try with Trail Boss. I loaded some up with 4gr of donuts an just had to try a couple to see how they sounded. These things could be shot all day long without any hearing protection. I'll have to try them for accuracy later on this week. I was thinking they would probably make a really good skunk load. Anybody shoot a skunk with this combo?

I tried them at 100 yards and had to go up 18 MOA. I could see them being lobbed into the paper.

Not sure what bullet he`s using but a buddy of mine worked up some Trail Boss loads for his 223. Wants to use em when he`s trapping, doesn`t need to carry a rimfire, so far he is happy with the results.

I worked up some trail boss loads for my 22-250.

I didn't want super slow, just something quieter for closer range; kind of a 22 hornet sumilator. I settled on a 55 grain SP at 2250 fps, and surprisingly quiet.
