I am working on finding the best (lowest cost, highest precision) hand load for my black rifle, in this case my Bushmaster ACR. In terms of precision I am looking for around 1 MOA or better.

I know that when I shoot Sierra 55 grn Blitzking loaded with 25.8 grn of Varget, OAL 2.250", I can shoot below MOA. Cost per round though around $0.56.

So here are my results today at the range:

Rifle: Bushmaster ACR (non-restricted)
Barrel: 18.5" Bartlein stainless 1:8" twist
Munitions: Campro 55 grn loaded with 26grn, 26.5 grn, 27.0 grn, 27.5 grn and 28.0 grn of CFE 223
Bipod: BT10-LW17 V8 Atlas Bipod, sandbag in the back (on pistol grip actually)
Scope: Elcan Spectre DR 1-4x
Distance from target: 100 yards
Cost per round: $0.31 per round (almost half of the Sierra`s)
Results......the 26grn load looks promising.

Anyone have a winning low cost high precision round for the 223? Share you thoughts please.....

Tks!

69gr SMK or Nosler CC, Win brass, CCI primer on 25.3 Varget.

It is Sierras AR accuracy load and I know it works well past 600m.

Match ammo is expensive, at $1.50 a pop so I figure a reloaded round costing $.50 is cheap.

I found a load that works very well in my 20" Hbar colt and my 20" savage mod12 bolt gun
hornady 52gr hpbt match
CCI srbr primer
H322 @ 23.5gr
Loaded in rem, win and norc brass.

It shoots just under moa in the Colt with elcan c79 and smallest I've done with the bolt gun is .75moa all 5 shot groups @100yd.

This round costs me aprox 0.35 each
