223 build ...

Would have been willing to give a CGNer a hand, then again, im not trust worthy until proven otherwise.

*Correction: Always willing to give a CGNer a hand.

I understand it's only a stock ... But our border rules are phucked as I would have to fill out importation paperwork and then wait months. I'll just go the MDT route or possible a factory type stock. I had a great build in mind as it would've been compact & easy to carry.

I bring stuff across all the time, zero paperwork. A but tun when its an action, but anything else is nothing.

Regardless, I hope you CAN get your stock, if not I hope you can get the next best thing!

Nomad I spoke with XLR & their suggested folks for importation and it's ridiculous what I've been told to fill out & send & wait times.

Shawn 338 xreload is the company wanting a ton of paperwork.

If the XLR is the one you really want but wait time is unreasonable, you could order something in Canada for the meantime and start the circus performance to get the border ####s to stop chasing each other around with their pants around their ankles and let the XLR be shipped to a civilian in a neighbouring ally country. But all proper like so Mohammed Al Fuk Ew doesn't use it to shoot at 'Merica from a Canadian igloo. Then when the XLR shows up you can sell whatever you bought to use in the meantime, or delegate it to another project.

Ordered a MDT chassis in FDE, tube & folder adapter instead. Now to decide on what buttstock to put on. This will come together sooner than later.

It's not our border rules, the problem is with our mistakenly led, freedom loving friends to the south. They are not as "free" as they think.

Yea, stupid ITAR... But still. I asked the officers at the border, and there is ZERO problem with bringing them across. I do it from time to time for builds. The US will stop you if they pull you over, but Canada has ZERO problem.

Yea... lots of random searches around here. Perhaps its just quebec that has lighter importing laws when it comes to firearms, but... yea. Still willing to give people a hand.

I'm launching berger 80 grain vld's out of a 20" with an unholy compressed load of n140. I find its a ton of fun to shoot, and it actually has a higher hit rate at 900+ yards than most of my .308's.
In an xlr chassis as well.

You go with an hs3 or a lss ?

Supernova I'm still undecided on a buttstock. I'm tryna make a nice shooter that I'll use for targets & hunting & wanted it to be somewhat lightweight.

NTM details on your build please? I went with LSS.

It's a tikka tac 20" in an xlr chassis. The one under that is a tikka sporter in a hs3.

Good choice on the Lss, it has a better trigger position than the hs3 or Lss-xl. I prefer the xlr over the hs3, for the same reason, better trigger position.

My barrel came in & my friend joeffrey is chambering it & cutting it down to 20". Sweet!
