223 deal @ cabela's

Nope get groups of .5 or less at 100 yards with superformance varmint 53grain

If you're getting 10" groups something is wrong.

I suspect your barrel has a fast twist rate and the short 45gr are probably losing stability in flight. Sometimes the lead will stream out like water. Sometimes the bullet won't even reach its destination.

Note that 'budget shooting supply' comes in at $4 more for the powder than WSS/cabela's locally here and their new brass and bullets are all more expensive too. Nice 'budget' store...

You obviously have not spoken with Henry, nor read his ad. He is willing to try to beat anyone's prices. Just give him the opportunity. He's a super guy to deal with.

the twist is 1:9 so thats is what I thought was happening.

They shoot better out of my 1:12 twist bolt action rifle than my 1:8 twist AR. On the AR, it produces some good shots and some unexplainable misses (like 3" off target centre at 100 yards) that don't occur with heavier bullets (69gr).

That a decent deal for factory ammo, but if you think you can't reload for that price your just in denial that you don't have reloading equipment and your telling yourself that its cheaper to make yourself feel better.

I have a full set of reloading equipment and I reload all the time. Once I have a stockpile of once used brass, it might be more economical to reload them (barely), but for now, factory is cheaper!
