.223 military brass crimp removal

Found a tip on the net that the Lyman vld Chamfer reamer works as a crimp remover, tried one, works well, easy to use and cheap (around $15) just thought I'd pass it on.

Lyman reamer in a drill press is my latest method, also have the RCBS swage die set and have used chamfer tools. The Dillon swager seems to have a great rep too.

Ordered an RCBS crimp removal tool. It was litterally a chamfer tool with an added guard to prevent removal too much material.

Went dull in my first 30 cases. It was gouging more than cutting. Called sinclair, got a new one, it went horrendously in about a 100 cases. Wasn't impressed.

Called Sinclair back, they sent me three of them with detailed instructions on how to use, which was exactly what I was doing.

I've done about 800 cases so far and still going strong, the other two are still in the bag.

Almost got turned off after two duds, but with good customer service, I was quite happy to stick with it.

Sinclair has always been exceptional with customer service!
They sent me a wrong set of dies once, and I sent them back.
I got the new set shortly.
A week later the first wrong set arrived again with a note.
Keep this set for the inconvienience, just in case you need them some day!
I couldnt believe it!

I've been thier customer ever since!

I use one of the Cadillacs of the de-crimpers, the Dillon Super Swage 600. Doesn't mangle the primer pocket. Well worth the $100 price tag.

I use a Mac Tools carbide counter sink metal bit in my drill, thousands of cases later and its still perfect...

Carbide ball end burr here. Still cuts like new.

Dillon 600 is the fastest and most consistent.

Over 30k of .223 have been done on mine in the last few years and it is as good as new.
