.223 powder, primer and projectiles

There's nothing wrong with BL-C(2)! I use it extensively in the 223 and 308. Go with as heavy a bullet as your gun will shoot well - 55's should be no problem, and stranger things have happened than even 69's shooting well in a twist slower than the tables claim possible. That said, I doubt that 69's will stabilize in a 12 twist even with very stout loads, but why not try?

Thats my plan for the long run. I am going to start with what should work well. I only have access to 200 yards regularly so the light bullets are fine. Once Im bored at 200 I will start trying to develop a load for some heavier bullets and see what I get. As strange as it sounds a Cabelas opened 20 minutes away and they have a pretty good selection of .224 bullets.
