hello i will be reloading .223 (5.56) using 55gr fmjbt projectiles for an A/R, 14" barrel. shooting mostly indoor 50 yards
i have been reading lots and lots of info on powders, but am not to sure on what powder to use. i dont want to use a compressed load,
so my main question is what powders are people using?
any pros and cons to specific powders would be great, thanks in advance.

There are a few powders people swear by. H335 is the one I see mentioned most often. Higginson's has that mystery surplus WC-735 that's cheaper than anything else and is said to work very well though I haven't seen any published load data for it, just that it's supposed to be 5% faster than H335.

I use WC735, I reload .223 right now for .17c per round  with 55gr FMJs.

Imr and Hogdon 4895, Benchmark and Varget all seem to produce decent loads in 223. At 50 yards you should be getting a pretty tight group.

Same here. :)
WC735 is as cheap as it gets and works fine with 55 and 62 FMJ.
I like H335 mostly for accuracy.
