just brought home a ruger mini 14 fitted with a remington 700 barrel and some trigger work. not sure of barrel twist yet. shot 1.25 inch groups when i tested it with cheap ammo in the wind. what do we recommend for a good recipe for a good coyote round. i hope i can get it under an inch at 100yds.it is suppose to be a tack driver we will see.

took it out this morning with some store bought pmc and it shot 7/8 inch at 100yds, i know i can get this better with reloads. ive been shooting a .220 swift ruger number 1 for several years and it is a tack driver so im happy with the semi autos performance!! sorry i dont have any pictures yet..but it looks just like a ranch model with a houg stock but the barrel says remington 700 target

My accuracy load was win brass, br4 primer, either 23.8gr varget, 77gr smk

For h355 I used win brass, cci primer, 26gr h355, 55gr fmj
It meters great, and so is awesome on a dillon.

I just finalized a load for my Remmy 700SPS Tac. in .223.

Federal 1xf brass, Federal Match primers. 25.5gr of Benchmark. Nosler 50gr. BT @ 3160fps.

The best part..... My groups are under 3/4" @ 200y...... Best 5 shot group was .67"

Cheers!

Savage model 12 - Win brass - CCI primer - 70gr Berger VLD - 24gr varget. Just about to kiss the lands. Groups .366 at a 100y. maybe better if I sand bag it or get a sturdy rest

Interesting.
If it wouldn't be a problem, could you post a photo of the barrelled action? Wondering how the 'smith who set this up dealt with the larger diameter barrel and the operating slide.
