223 rifle

Love my CTR, but if I was to recommend one cope gun to rule all the mag fed Autoloader substitutes it would be the Henry Supreme (LASR).
Check out the RDSC conversions and the SPD Predator.🤤

The Henry Supreme is actually a great choice in many respects. I have 2 of them and put red dots on them (no fancy tacticoool stuff)

I like the Supreme more than I thought I would. Removes the most annoying part of most lever rifles which is having to single load into a tube. I've had a bunch of lever rifles but that always annoyed me except I guess the 1895 and 99. But for sure the Supreme takes detach mag fed to a new level.

Modern Cowboy! :)

My biggest annoyance as well.
I suspect if sales are really good, we're going to see an expansion of calibers and mag compatibility with SR25 / AR10 type mags.

I looked at those Shield conversions you posted. I'm not sure if upsizing to AR10/308 class is the niche but dang a 16.5"-18" barrel 6mm ARC or 6.5 Grendel or something like that would totally change the classic 30-30 "woods rifle"

I think the tac stuff is more for the commie states where a lever gun has fewer restrictions, but the whole modern lever action concept is pretty fun.

The renegades are cool but they are not as accurate as a tikka or a Ruger american
It depends on what you want really
If you want to scratch that AR itch then the renegade or a taipan x pump is the way to go. But if you want to blast varmints way out there then a Ruger American
Is what I would get
The 600 bucks you save over the tikka will get you a scope for it
I'm not really looking to scratch the AR itch. I looked at Akdas, the Adler etc..try to make it look the part.... it's just not the same. Not willing to drop $2500 on a Makasi now. Maybe in a couple years. So...Looking at different ways to entertain myself with the 223.
I'm starting to think it will be a Ruger..

Appreciate all the feedback

Stick a red dot on the Ruger for close range fun or a scope if you want longer range. We have had no problems whacking gongs at 600 yards with Ruger American .223 rifles. To be honest the gongs were 10x12 and not 6" though. Still fun :)

If you want 20 rounds, you got it! :)

Imagine walking through the bush with stacked crossmags and hooking a birch tree....lol

don't get the MRA Renegade if you want a sub-2MOA rifle.

Its accuracy is compared to semi auto on rack and QC is kinda bad.

Stuck dowel pin issue for years due to worn drill bits in factory will prevent you from cleaning the gun. MRA offered me to send my rifle to them so they could fix it with free of charge but tbh it was hustle for just a dowel pin so I sold my rifle for a Henry lever gun.

get a CZ 600 + or ruger american
