Got a Savage 10T-SR 223 For Christmas, so my friend is helping me develop a load with his chronograph!

All brass neck sized, using CCI 400 primers, loaded length of 2.262 some are 5 shot groups and some are 4, didn’t have enough brass to do 6 five shot groups, the one is - 3 shot group because I let my barrel get too cold and used the one shot to warm up and shot it off paper.

Shot from bench with bipod, targets @ 100 yards.

I'm still very new to reloading and appreciate all input. My friend reckons we should develop load #6 (25.5gr) My other friend accidentally picked up CCI BR4 primers for me but we will try them anyways as they're apparently the same as the 400's but much more consistent.
 
We have only loaded them to the minimum overall length. We are going to playing with seating depth next. Also note that none of these cases were trimmed to a set length...they were just close.(I loaded them by myself, there was a little variance in case length and I'm not set up to trim cases yet.)

My friend has been reloading much longer than me and is convinced that the last load of 25.5 can be tuned to perfection via playing with seating depth, trimming cases to exact length and changing primers and probably working some of his reloading voodoo magic :)

Hell no! Not one of my friends or family members that still live there have any Scorpion products.

To the OP, try seating the TMK .010" off of the lands. As to trim length, as long as the cases don't bottom out in the chamber, it isn't a big deal, just get yourself a good supply of one specific case. As well, going to a good rest/bags may provide an improvement over the bipod.
 
X2 on the no bipod use bags. And also .2 or .3 of a grain of powder made my groups go from 1” down to 3/8” in the 6.5mm so I’d imagine a fine tuning of powder may work wonders in a smaller cartridge. Happy New Year!
 
I shoot the 69gr TMK in my Ruger m77 Scout 5.56. Seated to 2.379" which is a .090" jump in my rifle. Federal brass, CCI400 primer. H322 is the only powder I've tried, it groups well (just over half moa) and speed is 2670 fps from the 16.1" barrel

When I see that kind of difference in accuracy from a small change in the powder charge, I abandon the load. I look for loads where I can vary the powder charge by 2-3% , with very little difference, because they tend to be more stable in varying climate conditions.
