.223 Semi auto Varminter ??

Particular reason for this caliber over the (I'm presuming) more popular .223 Rem?

I already shoot the .204 Ruger in a bolt gun and I'm looking for another. It is serious fun. And with an AR-15, you could always just add a .223 upper.

i hypothetically said the AR series, simply because there are so many options, you can go from a 14" short bush carbine, to a 20" bull barreled 600 yard gopher gun near instantly, so you can whack yotes in the trees before breakfast, and gophers in the pasture after.
