223 shortages?

Glad I panic bought ammo and guns when shiat was on sale before Covid pandemic. Too bad for everyone else buying now.

Me too but too much time + to much CGN always leads to more purchasing. I cant be the only one

I went to one of my local big box stores the other day and the ammo shelves were all almost empty.

And also when nobody else is in panic mode....

BTW, I saw some bigger (150 rd Win) boxes at cabela's the other day.

I have ~6000 rounds of 223 loaded and easily enough components for the same again.

Pretty sure the shelves will have filled up again and prices settled before I burn through that.

I have some bulk loads for plinking, but reloading is where its really at. Market shortages don't have any affect on my shooting sports. Times like these I can spend hours in the shop preparing cases and new batches of test loads.

I thought there was a Canadian company out there that sold bulk .223 reloads? The Bullet Barn used to make ammunition, not any more. I don't otherwise think that any "factory" ammunition is Made in Canada. Do we even have a "Canadian Made" ammo lads? Maybe we wouldnt have a shortage if...

Western Metal (CGN sponsor) makes remanufactured ammo. Never seemed cheap enough at 55c per round for me to want to buy, but maybe as the CAD tanks.

Yeah I never got that either, new federal 55gr was selling at 40c a round, I just didn't see why I would buy reman at 55c
