An interesting exercise, but these days this seems like an awful waste of scarce components for ammunition performances that you can easily replicate in .22LR.

Components aren't scarce if you planned ahead. And half the shotgun powder compared to rifle powder for 3000fps seems economical.

Site advises reduce loads 1 gr for use in .222 Rem and 2gr for the .221 Fireball.

I've done the same with BlueDot for my wifes 243 with great results. Im not sure if it's the same with the 223, but I find the report much more bearable with a reduced load compared to a normal load.
