Just got back from the range and first use of my new Chrono F1. Loaded some 69gr sierra match with 25.4 gr of varget at 2.30. Over 30 rounds I averaged 3142 fps with about a 40fps spread. Temp at -10C. Is this typical ? Guy at the range thought the speed was high....pretty sure I had my chrony set properly but again it was my first time out and wondering if the set up could be an issue. The day was sunny and clear.

Any comments would be appreciated.

From my data the 69 Sierra will chrono from 2850 to 3150 fps. Loads with Varget generally average 2980 - 3100 fps. Your bullet is pushing out good. Chrono distance, barrel temperature etc all play a factor but even if there is a small error in chronograph readings I say your in the ball park for a very good average ( you said 30 rounds). Did you look at loading the 25.8 gr powder load yet?
