There will be no reclassification until we push for it and as of now that hasn't been happening on the levels that it needs too be done at.

Not saying it isn't going to happen just saying its not in the cards right now...

I agree, at which time we should push for an end the classification of firearms all together. If you are responsible enough to legally own any firearm, the ones you choose to own should be your choice, not a bureaucrats.

+1 for cz527, its a nice rifle.....might be a little expensive for a ranch dispatcher depending on how deep your pockets are.

Good choice for a "ranch" rifle. Mine is quite accurate. FWIW I have a CZ 527 as well which is a great rifle but not nearly as handy as the 7615.

About $1000 for the base model with fixed stock. The one I saw did not have iron sights.

If you look closely at the barrel you will see the sights. The rifle is about $900ish but Rem won't export this specific tactical version cause its to scary.

Here ya go...and on sale too. No open sights though...although I'm sure you can get a good set installed. I have this setup with a 3-9x40 scope on it and the LAR pistol 10 shot mags. (the 10 shot mag it comes with is prohib on account of it being for an AR-15...so you go with the lar mags (same thing) to be all legal)...I know...stupid laws. Nice medium weight barrel as stated earlier and fairly compact, and no bolt sticking out of the side.

There's a shorter Remington 7615 on the EE quite reasonably priced.

There's also a BLR in .22-250 for a reasonable price and one in .223 for (in my opinion) a less reasonable price.

I would have considered CZ for my .223 bolt but they don't do stainless. Settled on Tikka T3 Lite

find a 7615 Ranch Carbine. Fit it with sights. the sights on the 7615 Patrol arent no hell anyway. Or if you go Patrol, get the ghost ring version and replace the front bead.
