My Remington 700 SPS Varmint is in the mail and im itching to go out and shoot it.

Its chambered for the 223. and since im a realtive noob to do whats some good quality ammunition out there I can buy?

Ill be using it strictly for target practice not hunting in case that was a factor.

You'll have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your new rifle shoots best. It has 1 in 12 rifling so it'll likely prefer lighter bullets. 55 grains and under.
