Took a RWS dome to the head at 10 yards.......495fps............1st chicken with the new gun...........Harold

Not yet..........may make a velcro sleeve to wrap the barrel / gas tube that a hand warmer can fit in for winter conditions...............in and out of a truck on old lease roads the gun is kept warm...........Harold

Swapping out to a 10" barrel /valve polish /velocity adjuster and a steel breech.......just set for under 500fps keeps it legal........the $20 shoulder stock steadies my wobbles.......If only using open sights you can keep the factory breech....fortunate to have a high end airgun tuner here in Central AB...the factory velocity is stated 460fps by Crosman but it is actually 430 fps with the 14.3gr pellets.....but curable ...after valve polishing you will get about 24 full power shots per CO2 cylinder..I kept one stock for killing cans and the other for hunting..........put a drop of 30 weight automotive oi on the neck of each CO2 cylinder before inserting don't waste $$$$$$ on pelletgun oil it is the same stuff...........Harold

Thanks for the help Harold. One question I've been wondering is about our laws. If I built a carbine with a 16.5" barrel does the govt call it a rifle, or does it stay a pistol no matter what? It will be my first pistol, looks fun but man do the carbine builds look awesome! Rob

A pistol remains a pistol as I called the AB Firearms officers to be sure. The Crosman 2240 and 2250 are both pistols according to them, although the owners manual I have for the 2250 says in English" rifle"? You can't meet or exceed 500fps although many do.......I'd love a 14" carbine but it would be running 550-600 fps so I'm SOL......For maintaining Ft lbs at longer range the speed would be nice but I have my Weihrauch 80K /.22 for that except it is heavy and like a ladder in a phone booth in the truck...I'm gonna try an poke a few with my crossbow next trip out..Harold

ok, I own a P1322 10"bbl with the shoulder stock but in BC one can only hunt with 12+ inch barrel.
where can I get a 12" barrel from ?

Stock wobble can be taken care of by fitting "moleskin" strips in the plastic stock recess.......self adhesive one side for blistered feet. Harold
