So, IO put the metal breech on my 2240, which I use for grouse when I can't wave my .22 around, and now I don't have a rear sight. I installed the spare open sight that came with my AR2078 on the dovetail rail I now have, and at it's lowest setting it shoots about 10 to 12 inches high. Anyone have any cheap ideas for open sights that might work? I've got a 18" Crosman barrel and a muzzle device that has a higher sight on it, but that's way too long to fit in the glove box of my car. Can I cut the long barrel down to a more useful length? how would you cut it? how would I re-crown? The stock front sight doesn't seem to want to come off the stock barrel, and its way too short. Any ideas guys?
