Can these still be bought? thanks
YES.
However, keep in mind that the Navy currently in production is nothing more than a regular P226 with is an engraved anchor. It does not have phosphated internals like the guns supplied to the US Navy. Only the original limited edition civilian Navy model had phospaheted internals and was a true reproduction of the milspec pistol.

Well, it seems that "some units" that were "mistakenly" manufactured without phosphated internals include all Navies produced after the limited edition run (NSW serial number). At least, that's the consensus on Sig Forum. If you do a search there, you will find that this topic has been discussed extensively. And although I haven't personally spoken to Sig about this, a number of well-respected posters on Sig Forum stated that Sig itself had admitted that the P226 Navy no longer had phosphated internals. Also, Sig's website makes no mention of phosphate treatment. The 226R-9-NAVY is the same gun as supplied to the Navy Seals and does come with Phosphate Internals... at least it's supposed to. I just spoke to SIG about this and we did some tracking of serial # production... apparently there were some units that were manufactured and shipped (by error) without Phospate Internals.

So it seems that the rep you spoke to either did not have the full picture or was not entirely forthcoming.
Can't wait for my P226 to arrive. Not the Navy version though.
There are no night sights on the Navy version correkt?
Corrosion resistance. What do phosphate internal's add to the functioning of the gun?
