Ive been thinking of playing around with one of these for a while now.

Did a quick search and it seems like brass for it is really hard to find right now. Was looking around for some Lapua 6br, also does the lapua come in small rifle primers or is that large? Anyone make brass for it out of something with a bit of extra work? 243 22250 etc.

cheers

I LOVE my 6BR. Its a fantastic cartridge that can do a ton of different things.

I agree. My 6BR is my most shot and favorite cartridge. I have a 26" 1:7 twist JC custom barrel coming in 22BR that he is throating long for me so I can enjoy the heaviest 22 cal offerings. After that, I'll probably have to get a 30br if I can find someone with a reamer

I've been planning to build myself a 30BR. I've got everything including a cases and dies. Just need to get off my ass and build the darn thing.

Too many projects, too little time. :(

Hey thanks for the heads up on that the brass is SRP. On the Lapua page I dont think its says at all what they are, just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the location on brass as well.

Right now Im looking at shooting the 88 ELDs in a 7.5tw, as Ive read that with a 7tw, people are getting to many RPMs out of it and having jacket failures.

Love shooting my 223 with the 80 ELDs but always thought about adding a little more speed to the 22cal rounds and seeing what it would be like. :) I mostly just play around ringing some steel, nothing to serious but like to squeeze out a little bit of accuracy and precision. :)

cheers

There is starting to be more options for 6 BR brass now, lapua is the gold standard but Peterson and Alpha have started making it. And i believe Starline might have announced they were going to start making it a few years ago at shot show. Sizing the brass down to 22 br is easy. Its a fun little cartridge I ran one in a single shot for a while. They are getting easier to mag feed but you still sometimes need to tweek the mags to get them to feed properly.

Hey Adam thanks for the link. I did buy a Savage B22 to play around with as well and have taken it out to 300. Mostly for gophers as I bought cheap Aguila ammo for it. You have any details for that as I dont have a account there. thx

Im a Starline guy. lol I wish they had some already
