I use 35 gr. Vmax or Calhoun 37 gr. double he’s with Olin 680 or 296. Velocity right at 3000 fps. Rifle is a 1948 Brno 465. When I run out of 680 I will switch to lil gun.
With that bullet, not likely much velocity increase and if your 296 or 680 load is accurate, stick with it. Lil Gun is great but can be finicky in some rifles and seems to work best with 40-50 grain bullets in my Ruger M77R
Ok, thanks bear hunter. I still have about 7 lbs of 680 so it will be a while before I run out.
Your bore will wear out before you shoot that much powder.
