So...

I wanted a cool .22lr rifle and just before I was about to buy a S&W MP15-22 I decided to build an AR15 and try a conversion kit for it instead.

Today was the first day out and I was incredibly impressed with the Spike's kit. I shot 500rnds of

and did not experience a single malfunction. Cleanup was a breeze as the little grime that was there to be cleaned wiped off effortlessly.

The Black Dog mags were all great. Accuracy was good enough for my intended purposes, that being shooting lots and feeling guilt-free.

I installed the blocked gas tube and even fired a few .223 rounds manually. It works although it's weird manually cycling an AR (kicks more too).

The .22lr Conversion gets two thumbs up~! Très fun!!
Here she is in all her Flat Dark Earth glory:

I'll try to post some vids after next session.

If anyone cares, the big pieces are:
-Lower, Aero Precision (w/RRA kit)
-Upper Receiver, Spike's Tactical (w/M4 cuts)
-Barrel, 16" Bushmaster, MP, 5.56 chamber, chrome lined and 1:9 twist.

i have cmmg convertion kit and it works great and i just found out that it likes the federal high velocity rounds. I tried CCI, Remington Golden and federal some malfunctions here and there because of the bullet acting weird and the chamber being dirty but everything is smoth and the rounds cycle very nice ive shot over 2000 rounds of .22lr's in my cheap norinco m4 and had few problems
