22LR ammo price increase coming

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a good chance the price of 22LR ammo will be going up sometime in the new year. Got word from a couple suppliers that this is happening. Probably around a 17-20% increase in the wholesale price from what I have been told.

I hope you aren't suggesting I am trying to create a buying panic. Insert smilely as I can't get them to show up. I am just passing on some info. I will admit if people buy stuff it's great but that wasn't the intent.

TSC told me the same.....:(...less supply of varieties..:redface:.. and higher prices for what is coming in......:yingyang:

Nope. But I'ver heard the same thing year after year from every retailer, and it is to be expected. The cost of lead goes up, ammo goes up. The cost of lead goes down, ammo goes up. High tide? Ammo goes up. Clouddy with a chance of rain? Ammo goes up. Oddly enough, these same reasons also seem to affect gas prices.
 
All this increase in pricing is just going to push the shooting sports into a elite rich mans hobby and in the end will slowly destroy our favorite pass time's. But in the end what can we really do to change this? Even now re-loading is becoming pricey and even some items rare or impossible to find. It is definitely a sad time to be us. All these wonderful firearms and nothing to feed it unless your a multi-millionaire.

Sooner then later alot of shooters are just going to ...not shoot and this will be due to the greed factor of manufactuers and sellers.
I can't speak for you guys but when a manufacturer wants to bend me over and pardon the the language "f*ck me"..Im not down with that and they can kiss my a$$
