22LR Ammo Recommendation

I shoot CCI almost exclusively. I've had to many bad experiences with most other stuff...really dirty or leading up my barrels. :p

hence why I have 10K Velocitor, 2.5K Stinger and 5K Mini-Mag.

and as much as I love the Velocitor and Stingers, the mini-mag's feed the best, no HP to mess up on the feeding ramp and bringing you to a jam/standstill to clear.

federal champion 525 for my ruger sr22 pistol

The federal 525 are one of the cleaner brands that I use.

I heard that the $30.00 Thunderbolts were sold out a a couple of TSC stores; so I stopped at our local one last night; 5 minutes too late... closed. I went over to Canadian Tire, and they now have a whole bunch of Federal Champion in stock (525) for $39.00; BTW, the Thunderbolts at CT were $42.00 for 500!

I found that the Thunderbolts were very dirty, and many had the bullet loosely seated in the case. Also had more duds than any other brand.

Cci, standard velocity will probably be the most accurate cheap(ish) bullet. All cci are pretty good depending on use. Federal auto match is a decent bullet. Try some eley ammo if you want accuracy. I don't like the smell of Aquila personally.
