My buckmark 7.25 URX smoothed out greatly after the first few hundred rounds. you just have to let the slide wear in a bit. It will be visible when it does as the anodizing will wear in some places and when you disassemble the gun, the part of the slide that rubs the hammer will take on a mirror finish. Once you reach that point it should run like a top.
Just make sure that your extractor is clean and that the slide is well oiled, it should be easy to pull back when the hammer is cocked. My buckmark chews through federal bulk packs without problems.
