22LR ammo ?

I was going to start my own thread, but this one isn't so old... The only 22LR left on CanadaAmmo is CCI Stinger HP which only works in some guns. In first priority, what we need is cases of standard velocity ammo for target shooters. Not hollow point, not high-velocity, just some good old fashioned lead round nose coming out at 1080fps. Federal Champion 714 or CCI Standard Velocity would be awesome. And for the semi-auto guns that need a little more oomph, some reliable rounds that feed well, like CCI Mini Mag or AR Tactical RN 40 grain, or Winchester M-22. Please please please. I'll order 2 cases.

hollow point ..depending on the gun can be fussy ..but as far as I am concerned cci is probly one of the top five .22 lr ammo's you can buy. if not top 3.

I just got some cci cb short subsonic, I tried it out of my henry, and my girlfriends stevens favorite, it is the most accurate .22 ammo I have ever fired.
I was getting under 1" groups with the henry, and .5 or less with the stevens, I'm no slouch, but I'm by far a great marksman, I'm sure someone skilled could work magic with this ammo. Got some at walmart, and found more at wolverine g&t in red deer.

Although scarce there is some .22lr out there you just have to find it. I just picked up 3000 rounds just this past week. I don't want to empty the well in one day so you'll have to find it yourselves. Just keep looking

.22 doesnt seem to last too long on shelves picked up 1000 rounds the other day was thinking of getting more, when i whent back next day all gone

22 lr isn't too hard to find around here either,,,but people who say to stock up are right,,,it's nowhere to be found in the US,,,,i stocked up with various brands over the last 6 months,,,about 40,000 rounds,,,LOL...better safe than sorry,,,

I was watching a US news story this last week, and this large US retailer indicated that CCI is 2 yrs behind in production vis a vis demand. Of course they have no .22lr in their stores...or .17hmr or .22 mag for that matter.

Just what I heard, of course. But we seem to be better off in Canada...partly due to having 1/10th the population, I guess.

My local Canuck Wheel has several bricks of Remington Thunderbolt in stock but they want $35 for 500 rounds. Not to mention I still remember the misfires and how dirty it shot the last time...yeah, no. I did eventually find a couple bricks of Blazer for $20 each.

Aim carefully and no spray-n-pray this summer I guess.

No trouble finding CCI Mini Mag at my range -- at least during the summer when I bought some.
They did look at me funny when I bought a case though. I guess in Ontario we don't panic buy this stuff.

Canada has been immune from the 22 shortage since our retailers had stock in their warehouses. Now that the warehouses are being drained, not much will come up from the states to replace it. It can't hurt to have a few extra boxes of 22 I guess!

sometimes it's nice to have higher prices since the factories will ship to whomever pays the most

on another note, I'm really interested in some form of quiet 22lr ammo ... cci quiet or remington cb ... or any brand that is quiet

any news on any of that?
