That’s a great set of options SillyMike, you really know your rifles...man those Martini’s are real nice. Thanks for sharing mate!
And thanks to all the other suggestions as well, good onya guys!

Thanks guys, some good points and models to check out.
I’m after iron sights because I’m trying to replicate the fun, ease and relaxation of grabbing my old single shot pellet gun and wandering around the bush. It was an awesome way to spend spare time and I learnt a ton about using that rifle just from shooting in different conditions. The scopes and all the extra stuff on offer is great and very impressive but also incredibly overwhelming for a newbie like me. When I research I usually end up frustrated at spending hrs online with no clearer picture of something suitable for using and learning the basics. Buying and selling isn’t an option where I am, small town, ferries etc. and I reckon it’s a waste of money I don’t have to purchase something unknown just to try it out, so am doing the online research. Yes I realise there’s only so much research you can do without physical testing but it’s a good way to narrow the selection down. I’m sure there’s a bunch of you shaking your heads at the route I’m choosing to take lol
I’ll definitely be able to pick out something from this selection, thanks again to everyone’s input, I REALLY appreciate it!

Buy a nice centerfire bolt and a Hammond Game Getter kit which uses resized buckshot and ramset cartridges allowing for a low powered slug from big rifles. I have one for 22-250 and it basically turns the gun into a 22lr. 1" groups at 30 yards in my gun and surprisingly close to existing zero.

Relaxation, single shot, ends the search for matching guns, and saves you a bunch of money. Something to consider.
