22LR / AR15 Conversion Bolt Group

IIRC As long as the mags are made for the ceiner type kit, they should be good to go. My only experience is with BDM, CMMG, and Chiappa mags; they worked fine.

My CMMG conversion kit came with one 10 round CMMG mag. It was terrible, constantly jamming rounds vertically into the chamber. I tinkered with it, but eventually gave up and gave the mag away. All the Black Dog mags I have function flawlessly. I highly recommend the new steel lip BD 25 mags for reliability and ease of loading and the 50 round BD drum for maximum fun.

Last time I checked Questar had CMMG conversion kits and BD mags in stock.

I have the cheepest version of the CMMG and it works really well for me.

The advantage over other .22 options is that its cheep, and compact. Some will say that a dedicated upper or entire .22 gun are better options, and they are right, but they will cost more money and add one more bag to take to the range.

I am hoping one day I can the bolt hold open thingy so that my bolt catch will function. Right now the bolt is held open buy the magazine follower.

The blow back design will dirty your lower a bit, and apparently you can gum up your gas tube, but I havn't found this to be the case.....yet.

Accuracy is acceptable. Never sat down and checked it formally, but it is defiantly "minute of steel plate"

I do look at my buds S&W MP AR22 with some envy but the 10 rnd mags suck.

CTCS has the CMMG stainless but it's priced a bit higher, EE has some deals, get your black dog mags from Questar if buying more then 2, it works out to be cheaper.

Luckily I got mine brand new from Wolverine for $260, testing it out Sunday!
