Another option for a base, they make dovetail to weaver/pic rail adapters with large amounts of cant for airguns with a sloppy action and lots of barrel droop. 40+ moa is common and you can buy cheapies off sites like dx for cheap.

No seriously, these 22 LR Subsonics are magic. They fly like an eagle which helps me correct for the ridiculous MOA adjustments at the 5-600 yard range.

Actually I have been doing a bunch of digging and chatting at lgs and I have actuly heard the subsonic thing a few times. Drops like a mofo, but a bit better in the accuracy dept.

Regardless. ... my new Mk2 btvlss arrived and I'm hoping to give this theory a go in the near future. Just trying to track down a 20 moa rail for it first

I just got my savage mk2 BV yesterday.

I bought a 20moa rail from mystic presicison

Just waiting for it in the mail.

Well still waiting for some stuff. But I couldn't wait any longer to try out the new savage MK2 BV


Went plowing threw the snow and made a 50yrd shooting spot.
While this is not long range at all it shows some promise.

Only put 50rnds threw it before my hands were numb.
Groups settlled after 20-30.

This is the last 10 round group.
