Did a search buy it didn't come up with anything. Is there actually any difference between the same ammo, Federal Champion in a bulk pack vs bricks for one example. Besides the obvious quantity and cost, you would think that it's just in the way it's packaged.

May or may not be the same.
For example blazer black in the 500 round box is CCI overrun. Its a superb .22 round, not the most accurate but it will function in anything I've ever tried it in. The 525 box of blazer is Federal bulk overrun and is not as high of quality.
The 500 blazer will run in my GSG 1911 flawlessly. The 525 bulk will fail to fire on a regular basis.
So...not sure about the ammo your asking about, but sometimes the cost difference isn't just in the package.

The ammo I mentioned is just an example. I was basically referring to all brands of bulk vs brick. The cost to make .22 rimfire ammo can't be that much. To me, it's really hard to believe that they would make a lesser quality or cheaper cartridge just for the bulk packs. Maybe the do.
Never underestimate the power of the bean counters pushing to make a product cheaper :-(

mildly degrade the accuracy. Given equal-quality production, that damage is probably not a big deal for shorter range usage.

I too would have thought that the manufacture of rimfire ammo would be relatively cheap but I found the article below and was surprised, from an engineering perspective, about how much effort has gone into some types of ammo.

According to CCI and other manufacturers... The difference between packaged "bricks" and loose bulk box, occurs after manufacture not before... The difference in cost is in the post manufacture inspection and quality control... A higher level of inspection is given to the higher priced package ammunition, whereas the bulk comes off the line and into a box... You can potentially get the same results from either but perhaps not... Do you want to pay more for better qaulity control prior to shipping?
the worst ammo i bought was Winchester plinker? 333rounds.
1 on 50rounds will not fire, low and hight loads, the copper started to change color (green) after a couple of weeks...
compare that to CCI in those fancy plastic box, i never had a problem with those.
i think the faster the production, the lesser the quality. if you want to hunt or shoot your best group i suggest you buy a pack of quality ammo.

Personally I noticed that Blazer in boxes shoots better out of my guns than blazer jumble packs. Same bullet but I think the main difference is in the lube being more uniform and still intact on the ones in the boxes where as the jumble packs tend to wear it off.

Well seeing as it is made in the USA I'd say that they will be looking after their USA customer first, but some will get shipped here. Places like P&D have a bunch of 22 ammo in stock right now, hard to say how long it will last. FS

In my ruger I would get a few shots and then one that you can hear and feel has much less power which fails to cycle the bolt and noticeably lower POI...
It was nearly a whole case given to me for free for the same reason so I can't really complain about it...but it is now relegated to my single shot rifles for shooting cans etc.
I always just assumed it was from when they were training a new guy on the assembly line or something

Can't help you there...I seem to remember the federal bulk working alright, but its been quite some time since I've bought it, and I never did a comparison.
I like federal champions. My 64's will cycle them happily. If there's a difference between the 500, and 525 it's slight. I used to buy the loose 525's, but now stick to the pre-boxed 500's. Why? If I loan a .22, it's easy to hand over a box of 50, keeping the remaining 450 out of sight.
I've used "brick" and "Bulk" interchangeably...

The stuff I have is Winchester Xpert 22 hollow point in grey boxes of 500...doesn't say anything about high velocity on the box...also, I have no idea how old it is.
For $21 a box I hope so too. They are a copper covered hollow point as well. As long as they work for you.

Was shooting these as well as cci in my cooey model 60 today. Some of the federal from the 525 pack you could tell were loaded lighter as they were alot quieter then the average. Most went bang a few did not. Had the same problem with federal in my hmr today as well. All the hornady hmr stuff went bang first try.
