Thinking about a 22lr conversion for my SR1911 if I can ever get my hands on more ammo. Is there any good reason to spend $500 on the Kimber when the GSG can be had for $229?
honestly for the price of the conversion I'd buy a GSG and lots of ammo. plus that way you end up with two guns to take with you to the range and can shoot them both rather than trying to switch over on the bench
still quite a bit cheaper than 9. as well, for breaking in new shooter, ones that are a bit scared maybe, or smaller of stature, even 9mm can be a bit off putting, whereas no one has anything but fun with .22
where did you get a stainless GSG1911?
ahh, gotcha. I was really thinking about stripping mine right down too, as it would look just like the Ruger, with the other parts on it. Not sure what I would do about the serial number.
