Well I guess this is the next step when your first build is a SPR

roughly 300 rounds later, I want another one.
This time Lite and compact with those cool optic you see in movies :D

I will probly not shoot further 50M so I thought .22LR was a good Ideal

Where do I start ?
What should look for ?
As far as the Bolt assembly and Mags which other specific difference ?
Which kit would you recommand performance and reliability wise ?

If you have one Can see pics :)

The easiest way to own a dedicated .22LR upper is to buy one. Spike's makes a very nice unit.

I built one up using a smooth sided DPMS upper, Ceiner kit, Model 1 Sales 11.5" barrel with chamber collar and accessories. The big thing is to find a supplier of the dedicated .22LR barrel... not easy. When you buy the barrel, you will also want to buy a collar that will replace the chamber adapter on the front of the Ceiner kit. It's an easy conversion. If you have built up an AR15 upper, this project should be just as easy.

I have a Tac-Sol in the ee... :p

I thought I would use it more than I did(put 35rds though it). But it just sits while my SR15 and SBR get a fair bit of use.

If they were non-restricted as well, it would make a huge difference. But all my training is with 223/556 on ranges, so like I said, I never got the use out of it that I thought.

It worked great the short time I did use it, and was really accurate.
