This is my first post in the rimfire section, and I have a scope question.
I have a new .22lr rifle on its way, and I need to scope it. This rifle will be mainly be used on paper to sharpen our skills before hunting season instead of shooting hunting calibers, but will also be taking grouse, rabbit, and maybe a turkey.
I have a couple month old 4-12x40 sitting around. It does not have an adjustable objective, but I put some ballistics into Strelok and it seems the hold-over dots will work well if zeroed at 50 or 75 yds.
Well, is it a great scope to mount on my new .22, or will I be better off selling it and buying a rimfire specific scope?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
