.22lr into a .22wmr ?

Are there any issues in changing a .22 to a .22 mag in a single shot break action rifle?? Or is it just a matter of lengthening the chamber? I don't know if the rate of twist is an issue with the magnum cratridges or not. Thanks.

Extractor/ejector will have to be modified as well, but it should be fine.....depending on what rifle you choose. What rifle are you considering converting? Rate of twist should not be an issue...

There is a difference in diameter on the case and standard bore also, but I don't think it would matter at all.

I would not mess with something that may not produce good results. Select a bolt center fire to play change the chamber Rimfires are cheap to buy.

Depending on the firearm, you may have to fiddle a bit with firing pin location, as the WMR rim is a bit larger.

This had been done many times, it will work no question. I have a .22 mag on my bench right now that another member changed from .22lr to .22 mag. Not normally worth a lot of effort or to pay someone to do, but it will work.

It's a .22-.410 hinge barrel, I have .22's and thought, hmm , but now I'm undecided. thanks

my brother has an old Lakefield single shot bolt action that was rechambered to 22 rimfire magnum....works just fine....the .002" tighter bore doesn't seem to matter...lots of Ruger single six's out there with two cylinders...
