short .22

Hi Scott,
Yes, Marlin made one about 15yrs ago for about a year, in the 39 model w. 16"bbl. Called a TD...Take Down model; misnomer since they all are. I've tried to get one; missed out twice, darn.

I have one of these Take down lever action

Hi,

I just bought one of these Marlin 39TDS's! It does indeed has a 16"bbl. On Sat. I will get to try it out!

Cheers,

I will take pictures and attempt to post them tomorrow.

I will consider selling but want to shoot it myself first to see how much I like it. By the way, I am living in Burnaby so selling would be easy.

Scott, I believe the bbl length on this Henry Carbine is 16"1/8th. The H001L has the large loop for large hands/gloves.

I have one of these carbines. And yep, the bbl. is 16-1/8". I can't say enough good things about this little gun. It is easily the best $300 I have ever spent on a gun. Buy one. You won't regret it.

Three variations of the Marlin Model 39

Top: Marlin 39A
Middle Marlin 39A Mountie
Bottom: Marlin 39TDS

My favorite is the Mountie. Perfect scale, great aesthetics and fun.

The TDS will fit inside a pack protected from the elements and is suprisingly accurate. I've shot 2" groups at 100 yards using the Federal Bulk ammo. It'll keep em in a dime at 25 yards with that ammo.
