Currently nobody stocks Nordics in Canada, and as of last month the US distributor will not ship them to us. Good thing I built my 3 last summer - each one a different configuation.
As for the Squires, everyone calls them crap - tell that to my collection of 5. Each one operates flawlessly and accurately with cheap 40 gr roundnose .22's. 2 are the 1600R's with the retractable stocks, and they are all non-restricted. Not AR's, but fun and can shoot them anywhere (well almost anywhere).
The Armi Jaeger AP74's are restricted, and the closest thing to an AR without being an AR. I have 3, and while they all work well, each one only works with one brand/type of ammo. Don't ask me why, but they are fussy. Hardly ever shoot them though, because .22's are supposed to be for fun plinking in gravel pits, etc...
I love AR-type .22's, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a N/R AR anytime soon. I hope it comes, but for now I'd contact Fabsports and build something from his components out of the tried and true 10/22.
