22lr optics

The last new scope I bought for a 22 (bolt action, CZ452 Varmint) was this scope. It was almost 3 years ago, and wasn't far off this price either. Sightron S1; https://www.tesro.ca/sightron-sih-tac-4-12x40-ao-hhr-250-moa-hhr.html
I've dabbled in lots of econo scopes for rimfires (Bushnell, Vortex Crossfire, Hawke) and to me, this is the best scope..in this price range I've ever owned. After my success with it, I upgraded the scope on my 223 to one of the Sightron SIIIs. For a rimfire though...that S1 has served me very well.

Is the Hunter Holdover reticle of any use on a rimfire?
It is for me, but that's a result of lots of practice at various ranges. It's my gopher gun, so I'm not striving for tiny groups on paper with it. I zeroed @ 50 yards, then practiced @ 75 and 100...and saw where the POI was in relation to the hash marks. I didn't want to make elevation adjustments on the fly. A perfect system? For me it works=countless gophers are "squeaking no more" as a result of that scope/rifle combination.
I think the more you practice, the better it will serve you. If you're so inclined.
