22lr repeater 700 footprint?

I have a Remington Model 510 in .22LR. It might be what you need if you can't find a newer Remington.

Finding a 40x here has more to do with luck than just wanting one. Right place at the right time sort of thing. They do pop up on the ee from time to time but sell in an instant. I got mine through a guy who knew a guy. Cast your net far and wide and with a little luck you'll find one.

I spent several years trying to purchase one, and then gave up.
Even single shot rimfire 40x are hard to find today. I was lucky enough to purchase a receiver from one of my co-workers who had one "laying" around in his safe. I'm planning to convert it to repearter next year. I found another 40x recently and I'm trying everything I can to get it (not for sale yet).
Wholesale sports in Winnipeg Manitoba a few years back had Remington 40x listed with a shilen match barrel for well over a grand. I wish I had snagged that baby up. I also seen stiller making a custom action I think it is modelled after a 40x. If I could find a dude to make me one with a stiller action I think I would do so
Yes stiller makes a remington footprint repeater action. However there were lots of complaining about how bad rounds were feeding through it (info from another forum). Pacific tool and gauge used to make single shot rimfire 40x clone action bit they stopped making them lasr year

There was a contributed video presentation of an American rimfire enthusiast who had a gunsmith custom convert his 40X into a detachable magazine repeater.
Also had some kind of after market chassis system not unlike an Accuracy International rifle.
This is doubly expensive, but it can be done I guess.

PT& G make the bolts and firing pins but I have never seen an action from them. The bolts are offered for those who have acquired a CMP rifle from the NRA auctions that were selling barreled actions and rifles without bolts(likely misplaced after years in military storage).
