.22LR Revolvers...

I'm trying to sweet talk a friend out of a S&W mod 34 (.22-.32 Kit gun) 6". With some luck I'll have it by the end of the month!

My wife has a H & R Sportsman 999.

Great little revolver holds 9 shots and ejects them quickly with its Schofield (sp) action. Works really good with speed loaders.

I actually like it better than my Stainless Ruger Single Six. It has smoother action and better grips.

I'll have to agree. I have one of these and it's a beautiful, well made pistol. They're out of production now (as of 1986, IIRC). Well balanced, double action, top break, adjustable sights. The top break makes loading and unloading a breeze. All nine shells are ejected when you open it up. Very nice, and inexpensive.............if you can find one.

Here's the only revolver I oww. A H.S. Model 21 in .22lr and .22mag with 4 1/2' and 9 1/2" barrels. Shoots fairly well with long barrel, but crap with the short one. Still better than the Astra REGENT (American Regent) revolver I used to have.

Hello
I would be Patient and get a K-22. I have a few and they all are great shooters. You can't beat the high quality and durability of the famous K-2. Only problem is.. Once you get one you can't stop from buying others. Regards, Hammerdown

My dad has a 617, six shot, six inch with a red dot on it, he loves it, it's as accurate as he can hold it and never fails to go bang. I had a stainless Single Six convertible, I sold it to fund the 617 and I want it back. It was trully the most 'restfull' gun to shoot, with the slow load/reload cycle and the single action trigger. Bloody accurate as well.

Hello
The First edition K-22 which is shown above was called the Outdoorsman. They were made from 1931-1939. and mine is a 1936. Smith & Wesson ran an add back then in American Rifleman saying this revolver was capable of Dime size groups at 100 feet. It was the first .22 revolver to have a recessed cylinder as The new then, High speed ammo produced by Remington and Winchester was ruptering Cases and by recessing the cylinder it prevented it. This Recessed cylinder was the most copied featue in any S&W model after it's 1931 Introduction, and is still used today. Regards, Hammerdown

If you get a 617 you have to have a 686, both are about the same weight and feel. My 86 is still the centerfire pistol I shoot best. Im currently hounding one of our club members for his 617. His not biting.:(
