So I was thinking last night at work (which I most often do)- "Do rimfire revolvers exist?"

Well, after doing a small bit of research, I found out that they do.
Anyways- down to the core of this thread- I figure, if had for the right price, not only would a 22LR revolver be fun as hell, but it'd be an excellent way to slowly get into the revolver side of handguns.

So I ask- what 22LR revolvers are available here in thr Great White North? And for bonus points- where might a guy who's interested in them, get one- preferrably a site sponsor.

How about going to those sites, and having a look for yourself?

Generally speaking. The same companies making center-fire revolvers, also make them in rim-fire offerings as well.

For a classic, google "Ruger single-six":)

Because I was looking at American websites? :(
Also- it looks like Ruger has an offering at Wolverine. Anywhere else I should be looking?

Buy a used model 17 from S&W.
Don't overpay for the new ones as the older models are usually of better quality with lower price. EE can help. I can also send You a link to the store located in Ontario that has some of those for sale now.

Cheap and ugly - Heritage Arms Rough Rider. If you can find em, get a few. Not much to look at, but they get the job done (sort of).

Ellwood Epps has the Charter Arms .22LR revolver for sale for $449.

They also have a Smith and Wesson .22LR revolver for $974.

Can't beat these for value. And they come with the two cylinders, 22LR and 22Magnum.
Very crisp.
I added the finger-grooved wooden grips to replace the originals (which are easy on the eye, anyway.)

There's also some deals that come by now and then for older used H&R 9 shot revolvers in various models.

Along with the Heritage Rough Rider Ruger also sells the very popular Single Six.

The King and Queen of the .22 revolvers are the S&W K-22 or Model 17 and the Colt Officer's Match .22. Both are double action models with swing out hand ejector cylinders. These two styles define what a good target shooting .22 revolver truly is. The rest are playing catchup.

Colts don't come by all that often and they are pricey when they do. S&W 17's show up here and there and are gone in a blink at anything from $600 and less if in any sort of decent shape at all. So be prepared to pay when one comes up or someone else will jump on it.

I had a few different swing out or break top .22 revolver options until I came across a shooting buddy willing to part with his S&W 17. I've been getting rid of the others since then as none of them can begin to compare to the great handling and trigger of the S&W.

If you can live with the single action style and loading/unloading one chamber at a time you could do a lot worse than to get a Ruger Single Six.

Or if you want to be a bit patient Ruger is going to bring their 4.2 inch barreled SP-101 chambered in .22LR to Canada sometime next year. It's a compact 8 shot revolver that looks really good in the pictures and is getting good reviews both by those that do such reviews for a living as well as the fortunate few down south that have gotten their hands on one of the early production run guns.

Ruger's SP101 looks like fun. Stainless, double and single action, 8 shots, 4.2" bbl with adjustable target sights. Check Youtube for some vids. They should be in Canada next year.

+1 for S&W 17, used, be fussy and get an excellent used one. They are worth the effort and you will not go wrong with an S&W K frame revolver. They show up at dealers all the time, and of course on the EE. There are plenty out there around $500.
