.22LR Shotshells

A couple years ago I started the "smooth bore" project, had the tools made and posted all my intentions here, in general firearms. It was then it was pointed out to me that the act of intentionally removing rifling was not a legal act. At that time a few links were added to my thread to substantiate it. I read them, they seemed legit. If it was all a ruse to prevent me from moving forward it was well played out.
I can't seem to search within the forum, and any and all entries in to Google seem to bring me to High River links.
I had some decent money invested in the project, so I took the links seriously. Even had a private guy lined up for choking the barrel.
Don't stop on my account, just sharing what I learned during my adventure.

Finally got to try them out today, shooting a 8.5X11" paper at 10 yards. Actually got a nice pattern with my Lakewood .22, but they don't have much umph. I had the target stapled to a 1/2" plywood target board and I had pellets bounce back at me, most just stuck in the very surface of the plywood. I would reserve them for snakes, mice, etc..
