.22LR Trivia question (not sure if there is an answer)

Long time ago Remington use to make some.

That is neat, would be fun to do some penetration tests with those, they use real fmj bullets on the 22 mag, Iam surprised a company hasn't loaded them in 22lr and marketed it as some sort of novelty tactical super hard hitting tactical round for gophers who wear body armour

The closest thing you can theoretically get are CCI Velocitors, but good luck finding CCI anything in Nova Scotia. :p

This might work.

Honestly due to the low velocity the FMJ would behave pretty much like a lead solid. A 40gr lead solid will penetrate a lot more soft stuff then you might think.....

That's my thoughts. I know that 22 hornet at extended ranges fail to expand so I'm thinking that 22LR with a copper jacket may not expand at any range. I like my 22LR bullets to penetrate an inch or two then flatten out like a dime or violently fragment (you should see what happens to a squirrel hit with a 40gr hollowpoint that's been scored with an 'X' by an exacto blade.....pizza pocket, nuf said)
