$240 Mossberg 590 at WSS!

Good on ya mate!
Mine will prob be another 10 days I figure , as long as they are coming ,I can wait! Let us know how she runs sewktbk!

most definitely will! I should be able to take it to the range next week.
cheers budd, I hope yours comes quickly!

My girlfriend shooting mine at the range...this was the day we picked it up a couple weeks back....it now has an ATI collapsable on it to make it a bit more practical

Try and find her a "birdshead " pistol grip. Way better control and very little SWS (Sore Wrist Syndrome). Got one on a a 870 and a Winchester 1200 both by Speedfeed. Gotta find one up here for the Mossbergs. I know they are available in the States but so far no one wants to sell me one or ten.

I will need an adjustable stock of some sort ,everyone seems to be mentioning the ati,is that the better of the tactical/adjustable stocks? There will be several people including women using mine so the adjustable part is important .I would like a fairly good quality product too!

You hit the nail on the head ,the manager from Nanaimo called me back and had left an email with Calgary ,he was willing to sell them to me for extra shipping but told me they were on for $3.25 above his cost. They called me 10 mins ago said no to Nanaimo, but had sourced 1 -590 and 1- 500 for me,,,OK,as I am writing this, I got another call from Calgary ,they talked to the Nanaimo mgr and WILL source them from there because of something he said so I am back to 2 590's and 1 500.Like I said before ,1 of these is a gift for the wife so, she is lucky cause I was gonna strike her of the list;0) HA ,NOT ,that would be a castratable offence,so a couple weeks and they should be here. Thanks for the info guys much appreciated,I gotta send the mgr. in Nanaimo a nice cuban cigar for this!

Just live chatted with Andrew at wss,so far they haven't recieved my 590's from Nanaimo yet 12 days, and then they have to mail them to me! Patiently waiting,, ,, ,,

hang in there budd.

Did you get some sort of confirmation from Nanaimo that it had been shipped? they can't give you a tracking number because its their company account, but when I was going through the same thing, Edmonton was able to confirm what time it had been shipped from their warehouse and who had signed for it at the Calgary store.

Kindly explain that although you don't wish to be a PITA, you paid the shipping between stores to get this gun, and that you'd simply like as much info as possible.

Well I might as well share my experience so far. So after sewktbk posted i called the edmonton south store on the 23rd and had them put my name on their last 590. Called the mail order line and told them it was being held and they they'd need to issue a inventory request to get it. I was assured it would be done that day.
On the following monday I decided to call in and double check everything was ok. Called in and told them my order number and asked if the inventory request was put it. The girl didnt really seem to look anything up (usually im put on hold for at least 5 minutes while they get my file) and just says yes its been done. I say ok and hang up.
On the wednesday im not feeling so confident so i call back. This time just give them my order number and the girl says she'll have to call me back. 30min later i get a call back saying they cant source the gun for me. I tell her ive already sourced it for them at the edmonton south store and they were suppose to do the inventory request. She is very confused as apparently there is no record of this at all in my file. She says she'll have to call me back.
While im waiting for the call back i decide to call the edmonton south store to check if its still there. Call them and they tell me they have one in stock. I explain the situation and ask if its still on hold for me. I get put on hold and about 5 minutes later the guy comes back and tells me they're going to be shipping it to calgary for me tomorrow. Im guess i called about the same time as the calgary store.
About 20 minutes later i get a call back from calgary saying theyve got it and they will receive it by friday (march 30) and do the transfer and have it shipped the same day.

Friday comes and given the track record so far i decide to call in and check again. Give them my order number and after holding for the girl to pull up my file Im told ill need to be called back while she checks on the order. I dont get a call back all day and repeated attempts to call back in go unanswered.

On Monday this week i call first thing in the morning and get a girl. Order number, hold for her to get file and im told the gun just arrived that day and would be transferred to me on tuesday. Finally.

I see today that my CC was finally billed for this so hopefully this is finally on its way to me. I feel should also mention that everytime i called i had to try at least 5 times (usually more) to finally get someone on the line and if you leave them your name and phone # they wont bother calling you back. All this in addition to them holding my order for two weeks and never actually trying to source it before i called and sourced it myself thanks to sewktbks advice.

Im glad I'm finally getting this but this has definitely been an exercise in pure frustration. After this experience I really dont understand how this company stays in business. I'll be happy when i finally get this gun and dont have to deal with WSS again. Clearly if

bobdblr I recommend calling Nanaimo to see if theyve even been shipped yet.

And thanks again to sewktbk as i clearly never would have gotten anywhere had he not shared his advice.

Good Idea,I will call the manager in Nanaimo tomorrow,It is a good deal but man do you have to work for it ,if it has to be shipped! Thanks again to sewktbk for headsup! Yea, as I said in a previous post wss has a huge problem and many disconnects in their online and shipping dept.,,not good in this day and age!
Cheers!

Silver lining !!

Hey ,figured out a silver lining to the sloth like slowness of my shotgun purchase! I WILL NOT HAVE TO REGISTER MY GUNSSS! HA HA HAAAA!
:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::cheers::cheers:Laugh2:rockOn::ar15: REGISTRY.

Called Naneimo today. The guy didn't know anything about it couldn''t find it in the back room. He put me on hold to talk to the manager thinking it was shipped already,15 minutes later a voice comes on the phone I said I had been on hold for mark. Mark comes to the phone not remembering who I was. I reminded him and he appologized ,said he would go talk to the boss about it ,took my # and promised to call back. NOT!
I said it before about their shipping people and now about their counter people,( They have to be on crack ,cause nobody is that stupid and sober at the same time ) and they all must buy from the same drug dealer. How does a company like this stay in business!
I really don't hold out a lot of hope for this deal!

The south edmonton store where i sourced mine seemed to be much more competent and were better to deal with although i did have the same thing happen where i was put on hold and left there until someone else picked up (i think it was the gun shop manager the second time). When i got my gun in the mail they actually had left the hold tag that the edmonton store had put on it to hold it for me. The mail ordering people on the other hand are completely useless.
Im happy i got my gun and its a very nice gun at a great price but they definitely made me work for it. Hopefully i wont have to deal with them again.

I stopped by the Nanaimo store on Monday this week. They were unable to sell ammo or firearms as they had forgotten to renew their license and we're unable to renew on the holiday Monday. Sounds like they are having more problems than just service.

Thats BANANAS.
Un####ingbelievable.

Spend the extra money at an actual shop, WSS is a joke.

the MAIN reason most people deal with wss is PRICE- period- you need to have your own mind when you walk in as the counter monkeys know nothing or next to it- know what you want, and do some studying- DO NOT ASK things like"what primer is best, what powder do i use, etc- DO SOME FREAKIN RESEARCH aND FIND OUT for yourself- there's a LOT of unscrupulous gun shops out there as well- that's the reason for the difference between wss and " a gun shop'- he figures he will charge all the market will bear, whereas wss is based on TURNOVER- sure you won't get the service, but on a new gun you shouldn't need it- on my redhawk there was over 100 dollars difference between wss and a 'GUN SHOPPE" and they would have to order it in, whereas wss HAD IT IN STOCK
