Anyone out there playing with a 240 Weatherby ?
I'm not looking for load details, would just like to get an idea of what works best for bullets before I go shopping.
Any info seriously appreciated.

What twist in the barrel? How far do you plan to shoot? If it is a 1 in 10" twist you might want to try a Berger 88 gr High BC FB Varmint.

I would get the 80 ttsx to shoot and be done. Works well in my 10 twist 243 ai. For plinking the 100gr corelock shoot great as do the 95 btip and classic Berger. 100gr btsp from hornady left oval holes and wouldn't stabilize.

Hey buddy, I have never had a 240 Bee, but several 6-284s. Mine were all 1-9 Remington barrels though so I doubt anything I would have would be relevant. Mine did really like 95 gn Nosler BTs.......killed 3 caribou with them, worked like a charm.

Thanks Ted, I will have to check my load notes but if I remember correctly it was fond of the 200 gr. bullet regardless of make.

:) I agree. In my 308NM Schultz & Larsen, that's the bullet weight I've had my best results with on paper. Specifically with the Sierra 200gr BT.
