.243 55gr Nosler Ballistic silvertip?

Just wondering if anybody's using these bullets and grouping well out of a .243
I have loaded a few rounds but haven't had an opportunity to try them out. I am using IMR 4320 and winchester brass. I can't wait to go and whack a few yotes with these rounds, providing they group well.
 
Might not stabilize. Most .243 hunting rifles are rifled for heavy bullets. A 55 grain bullet must be a little tiny thing.
 
I believe Mount Sweetness posted a load some time ago for which he was getting tiny groups for the 55 grain silvertips in his 243.

I got MOA with H4895 with my 243 pump and 55 grain BTs.

I have gotten my best all time groups with this bullet in my Savage Model 14, unbelievable. This gun has a 1 in 9.25 twist rate.

Here is my load data:
- 55gr Nosler/Winchester Combined Technology Silvertip
- 44gr Varget
- standard Winchester large rifle primer
- once fired Winchester brass
- 2.64 OAL

Consistent 100 yard 3 shot groups into one hole, literally. Laying prone off of a cheap plastic gun vise....

I have not taken game with this bullet, but plan on using it exclusively this winter on coyotes.

p.s. these things are flying at 3950 fps, hard to get a bullet with much more velocity.

Another bullet I have had great success with is the standard Nosler Ballistic Tip in 70gr, worth a try if your gun dislikes the 55gr silvertips.

I shoot the 55 grain Ballistic Tips out of my 10" twist 6mm Remington. They are over 4000 fps and groups are impressive, ranging from ½" on the small ones to ¾" for the larger groups. I have tried two different powders with similar results. Just for S&G, I shot a few out of my HB 8" twist 6mm, but they didn't work quite as well in it, averaging about 1½" groups. This rifle shoots the 70 BT much better. Regards, Eagleye.
 
Think it's H4895 for the 55 gr BSTip we settled on - out of my 24" bbl'd Vanguard we've clocked as high as 4150 staying within book limits, but backed off a grain and a half, still reaching 4000 and well under an inch. Did in a pile of coyotes last winter with them. Don't even use the .22-.250 any more, this is more effective. The other powder we're trying and it looks really promising is H414.

I have been loading the moly coated 58 gr hornady bullets backed by Varget. I'm happy with the patterns on paper through my package savage rifle.

Hoping to make some yotes life a little shorter this winter.
 
A trusted friend and .243 reloader told me not to shoot the 55gr from my .243 win.

He says they're too hot and will burn out a barrel in no time... I found that odd.

I also have a savage with a 9.25 twist.
