Thanks in advance (I have 200 new 243 brass)

Just load 'em up as 243 with some junk 6mm bullets you have left over from a load that didn't work and fire them in the 260........voila, 260 Rem cases. No I'm not kidding have done thousands this way and it does not hurt your firearm one little bit and your necks come out concentric.

I shot a bunch of 338 out of my 458 the other day and now I have a bunch more 458 brass. It worked really good. Because there is no pressure it just makes thup sound and the bullet kinda falls out the end of the barrel.

Yes, it will safely fire form and work fine. Wildcatters been doint it for decades. However you will increase the risk over time of a donut forming at the base of the shoulder/neck junction. I would recommend you size up and neck turn into the shoulder a bit to aleviate this issue. Case trimming may be necessary. You will note the move up can be a bit tough, be jenerous with lube and use a FL die with the expander threaded into the die (ie RCBS or the like).

A better bet would be to use 7-08 and neck down, this reduces donut risk, and will be very easy when running through the die. Stick with win brass as it appears to hold up better. And yes, if you have the cash, use Lapua brass. You also can use 308 win brass but the case will be short until the brass stretches out with multiple firings. No big issue there. Elkys two bits.

Just let the 6mm bullets rattle down the barrel?? Forgive my ignorance but I've never heard of this, and sounds a little off. Not saying it wont work, just friendly questioning is all.
