243 bullet suggestions

Ok I'm convinced partitions. What grain you use?

I use 95 because they were on the shelf

I'll give em a try! What powder did you use? I have on hand varget, H4350, R-16 and H4831. I've heard different things about loading for a Remington semi but I'd imagine they're designed to work with whatever burn speed you put through them.

New question, why hasn't nosler made a ballistic tip partition? That big chunk a lead tip is kind of off putting

Because that is how the accubond behaves. Or load up the 95 grain ballistic tip as it is a great deer bullet in its own right, they aren't going to bounce off and will likely exit unless a raking shot or breaking both shoulders. In either case as long as impact is on the heart/lung side of the diaphragm I'd expect it to be on the opposite side of the chest cavity if not against the hide and the deer to be dead very nearby.

That 80 ttsx is a perfect round for the 243 Win. My experience is that it's easy to get to shoot as well.

Any shot I'd take at a deer with a 243 would be head/neck, broadside or straight on chest. Possibly slightly quartering to or away. I mean if they wanna stay relevant these days with all the fancy new stuff coming out a polymer tip would really grab attention. At least cut the tip off to make em more like a core lokt. Suppose I could cut the tip off it and basically make it a round nose right?

If the 3 deer I've tracked for the guys I know who use em in 30 cals all but one went a minimum of 90+ yards with broadside shots. If I couldn't track as well as I do they might have been lost cause there was 0 blood to follow.
