.243 loads?

I have had really good luck with 100 grain bullets and h1000. The h1000 really wrings out the velocity while keeping recoil low.
I use the exact same. It's a good choice.
Your rifle must have a fast twist to be using a 100 gr bullet.
85 grain Sierra with 38.0 grains of IMR4064 is a light recoiling load from the Sierra book and rated as the best hunting load.
when going to the 100 grain bullet, Sierra's hunting load is 36.2 grains of IMR4064.
By lowering the weight of the powder the recoil can be lessened which makes 4064 slightly more favourable.
My grandson found the 100 grain loads with IMR4831 a little more noticeable.

I have shot thousands of 243 and I have had good success with the 90 gn Speer flatbase bullet and IMR4350. This combo has shot well in 4 different 243's I've had over the years and the bullets perform very well on lighter game. I would recommend Nosler Parts for deer sized game but none of my 243's shot them well enough for my liking. The 90 speer worked very well as a second choice though.
Great choice for your daughter, my son at 11 took 6 antelopes and a warthog in Zim with the 243, worked flawlessly. He had 5 -1 shot kills and a little problem with his Impala, which was poor placement not cartridge or bullet problems. The 90 gn speer gave "through and through" performance on all animals up to small deer size and on shoulder shot warthog. PH was skeptical of the 243 at first but was a believer after a couple of days.

thanks fellas!! I am going to try some of these. I am a big fan of Hornady's SST's my .270 loves'em so I was wondering if anyone has tried these bullets yet? I also like the Sierra's that some of you have mentioned. I guess I am just going to have to shoot more
. I want a good load for her that won't knock her on her ass. She is a tall but very skinny kid. Thanks again boys!!

Hornady 87 gr HPBT with 43 grs of imr 4350, remington mag primers work awesome out of mine.
