Did NOT see that as an optionI am a big fan of the 243win, but given your proposed use I'm thinking 223rem might be the best option, even less recoil for your shoulder, and cheaper to shoot.
If it doesn't include suggestions of other calibers not on the list, is it even a real post on CGN? lolDid NOT see that as an option. BUT it would be a Great CHOICE if it were on the List.

Both calibers work great for turning coyotes into natures buffet bird food, so there's not really a wrong answer. Do you find the recoil of a 243 too much? I think it's only around 10-11 ft lbs, so not that high in the big scheme of things.I am considering getting a small Caliber rifle for coyte hunting and for just some fun at the range without blowing out my shoulder. What do you guys think would be the better Caliber.
No that's why I'm looking at either one. I own many high Caliber rifles just want a fun plinker. And something for my boys to learn on when they are old enough as wellBoth calibers work great for turning coyotes into natures buffet bird food, so there's not really a wrong answer. LOTS of bullet options for a 243win with a 10 twist. Can they shoot the >100gr bullets? Usually no, but those bullets are hardly necessary for someone looking to kill coyotes and paper.243 is ok but factory rifle options really limit bullet selections. 6mm Creedmoor is basically the same but way more bullet options especially if you take longer shots.

Then the right answer is either. Or 223.No that's why I'm looking at either one. I own many high Caliber rifles just want a fun plinker. And something for my boys to learn on when they are old enough as well

243win is a decent step up from a 22lr. It is the one reason I wish I had a 223 in my collection, right now I'm dealing with messing around with light loads for my 243win for the kiddos, whereas I could just use normal loads in a 223. Or 22-250 for that matter.
I'm with remington Jim. If its just for yotes I'd go w 22-250. If u think u might need to shoot a deer, get a 243
